If you come on holiday in Valdera (and we will recommend it), you should not miss a stop at Casciana Terme!

…It’s a small and friendly town that contains a heart ancient and precious: its thermal waters.

The legend tells that the discovery of the healing power of the water of Casciana occurred a thousand years ago thanks to the Countess Matilde of Canossa and think that the first thermal swimming pool was built in 1311 by Frederick of Montefeltro.

But it was only around the first half of the ‘800 that Ferdinand II of Lorraine built the first spa itself.

Today, the Baths of Casciana have become an important tourist destination, so that he it deserves the title of “Pearl Spa of Italy.”

If you want to be pampered by a relaxing massage, a facial and body treatments, sauna etc. .. We  recommend the Wellness Center, where you can also participate in yoga, water aerobics and gymnastics.

In 2007 he was also inaugurated the new thermal spa Terme Villa Borri, next to the spa, and you can define the first true “beauty farm”: it is an old farm house with an ancient villa of the eighteenth century used as a Wellness center, surrounded by old houses, divided into 22 apartments finely restored in typical Tuscan style.
